We're here to support you and your team. If you have payroll services with us, please note that your employees will receive paper copies of their W-2 and 1099 forms in the mail, sent by Salsa. In addition, you'll be able to access all employee tax documents through the Document Center in your Account.

Overview of W-2 Handling

  • Filing and Distribution: FarmRaise manages the filing of W-2s for all employees paid through the payroll system. Employees directly receive their W-2 forms, and physical copies are mailed to you for record-keeping.

  • Document Access: You can easily find W-2s within the "Documents" section of the payroll system. All year-end documents, including W-2s, are downloadable for your convenience.

Both employer and employee copies of W-2s and 1099s will be available no later than January 31. Rest assured that all forms will be ready and accessible by this date.

FarmRaise also handles all year-end payroll returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy for your business. Copies of all relevant year-end documents are readily accessible in the Payroll system’s "Documents" section.

Overview of 1099 Handling

  • Processing Payments: For contractors whose payments were processed through FarmRaise Payroll, 1099 forms will appear in the Payroll system. These are filed and accessible via the Payroll document center.

  • Special Cases: If contractor payments were handled outside of FarmRaise, you must manually process these payments through Payroll to generate 1099s. For such scenarios, it’s recommended to coordinate with an accountant to ensure proper tax reporting.

Recommended Actions for Users

  1. Access the "Documents" center in the FarmRaise Payroll system to view or download filed forms.

  2. If contractor payments were processed independently, consult an accountant to ensure accurate 1099 filings.

  3. Reach out to FarmRaise support for troubleshooting or if documents are missing.
