Duplicating an invoice in FarmRaise Tracks can save you time when dealing with recurring transactions or similar expenses. Instead of manually recreating each invoice, you can easily duplicate an existing one and make necessary edits to fit the new transaction. Follow the steps below to duplicate an invoice:

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Log In to Your FarmRaise Tracks Account

  • Open your browser and go to FarmRaise Tracks (or the app, if you're using mobile).

  • Enter your login credentials (email and password) and click Sign In.

2. Navigate to the Invoices Section

  • From the dashboard, locate the Invoices tab on the sidebar or main menu.

  • Click on Invoices to open the list of all past invoices.

3. Find the Invoice to Duplicate

  • Browse through your list of invoices or use the search bar to find the specific invoice you want to duplicate.

  • Click on the invoice to view its details.

4. Duplicate the Invoice

  • Once you're viewing the invoice details, look for the Options.

  • Select the Duplicate option from the dropdown list.

  • This will create a new invoice with the same information as the original, but it will not be saved yet.

5. Edit the New Invoice

  • After duplicating, a new draft of the invoice will open. You can now make any necessary edits, such as:

    • The Invoice Date will be the day that you duplicated the invoice.

    • Adjusting the Amount

    • Editing the Recipient or Billing Information

    • Adding or removing Line Items if needed

  • Make sure to review the duplicated invoice for accuracy.

6. Save or Send the Invoice

  • Once you've made all the changes, you can either:

    • Save the invoice as a draft if you’re not ready to send it yet.

    • Send the invoice directly to the recipient if everything is correct.

    • Download the invoice if you are going to print and mail it

7. Mark the Invoice as Sent

  • The duplicated invoice will now appear in your invoice list, along with all other invoices.

Tips for Using Duplicate Invoices:

  • Recurring Invoices: If you regularly bill the same client or pay for similar services, duplicating invoices can save you significant time.

  • Bulk Edits: You can duplicate an invoice and then tweak it for different clients or dates, helping with batch invoicing.

  • Audit Trail: Duplicating invoices retains a clean audit trail, as each invoice will have its own unique identifier.

Duplicating invoices is an efficient way to manage your farm's finances without creating extra work. By using this feature in FarmRaise Tracks, you can streamline your record-keeping and focus more on running your farm.
