Exporting your transactions from Tracks is a simple process that allows you to have detailed records for your financial analysis and reporting. Follow these steps to export your transactions: Additionally, you can export transactions for specific categories, such as Professional Fees, to focus on particular areas of your financial data.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Access the Menu
Open the Tracks application.
Navigate to the bottom right corner of the screen.
Click on the Menu icon.
Step 2: Go to Data Export
In the menu, find the Data Export.
Under Data Export, you will need to go to "Transactions."
Step 3: Configure Your Export
Select Categories: Choose the specific categories of transactions you want to include in the export. This allows you to focus on the data that matters most to you.
Select Accounts: Pick the accounts from which you want to export transactions. You can select multiple accounts if needed.
Select Products: If your transactions are associated with specific products, select those you wish to include.
Select Columns: Customize the columns to be included in the export. This lets you decide what information is most relevant, such as date, amount, description, and more. 5. If required to select a revenue category but only specific transactions are needed, choose a revenue category with no transactions to avoid adding unwanted data.
Step 4: Export the Data
Once you've configured your settings, you have two options for exporting the data:
Download: Click the Download button to save the data directly to your device. The data will be downloaded in your preferred format, typically CSV or Excel.
Email: Click the Email button to send the data to your email address. You will need to enter your email address and confirm the action.
Step 5: Verify Your Export
If you chose to download the data, locate the file in your device's default download folder.
If you opted to email the data, check your email inbox for the file. Make sure to check the spam/junk folder if you don't see it in your primary inbox.
Troubleshooting and Workarounds
If you encounter issues, such as being required to select a revenue category when you only want transactions from a specific category like Professional Fees, use the following workaround:
Workaround for Mandatory Category Selection: Select a revenue category that has no transactions. This satisfies the requirement without adding unwanted data to your export. After exporting, review the file to ensure it contains only the intended transactions.

You want to share your expense data with your accountant or other finance professional
You want to have your transaction data available in spreadsheet form to generate your own reports
You want to export your transaction data to enter into another accounting software system- You want to export specific categories of transactions for detailed analysis or reporting
