Exporting your transactions from Tracks is a simple process that allows you to have detailed records for your financial analysis and reporting. Follow these steps to export your transactions:

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access the Menu

  1. Open the Tracks application.

  2. Navigate to the bottom right corner of the screen.

  3. Click on the Menu icon.

Step 2: Go to Data Export

  1. In the menu, find the Data Export.

  2. Under Data Export, you will need to go to "Transactions."

Step 3: Configure Your Export

  1. Select Categories: Choose the specific categories of transactions you want to include in the export. This allows you to focus on the data that matters most to you.

  2. Select Accounts: Pick the accounts from which you want to export transactions. You can select multiple accounts if needed.

  3. Select Products: If your transactions are associated with specific products, select those you wish to include.

  4. Select Columns: Customize the columns to be included in the export. This lets you decide what information is most relevant, such as date, amount, description, and more.

Step 4: Export the Data

  1. Once you've configured your settings, you have two options for exporting the data:

    • Download: Click the Download button to save the data directly to your device. The data will be downloaded in your preferred format, typically CSV or Excel.

    • Email: Click the Email button to send the data to your email address. You will need to enter your email address and confirm the action.

Step 5: Verify Your Export

  1. If you chose to download the data, locate the file in your device's default download folder.

  2. If you opted to email the data, check your email inbox for the file. Make sure to check the spam/junk folder if you don't see it in your primary inbox.

Some reasons you'd want to do this:

  • You want to share your expense data with your accountant or other finance professional

  • You want to have your transaction data available in spreadsheet form to generate your own reports

  • You want to export your transaction data to enter into another accounting software system
