Let's Add an Expense
To begin, tap the "+" button on the bottom of the screen to add an expense, revenue, or mileage to your app.
Next, enter all the necessary information:
Vendor Name: Who you bought goods or services from
Transaction Date: When the payment occurred
Transaction Type: You can switch between expense and revenue
Total Amount: Total cost
Account: Which bank or credit union was used
Category: What was purchased or paid for (seed, fertilizer, livestock, equipment)
Product: What project the purchase is associated with (ie. cattle, pigs, mushrooms)
Notes: You can add in any additional notes that you nee such as the check number
You can then split the expense if you have multiple expenses to report from the saved receipt by toggling on the 'Split Receipt.' It should be green if it is on. (Seed, fertilizer, feed for pigs, etc)
Next, take a picture or upload your receipt directly to FarmRaise Tracks!
The last step in submitting an expense - hit save! No shoe box, no problem.
For mileage, you will select the vehicle, date, number of miles driven, the origin, destination, and purpose and press save!
