How to Edit or Delete an Asset or Liability in FarmRaise Tracks

Make changes to your assets or liabilities or remove them entirely from your records.

Use this guide to make changes to your assets or liabilities or remove them entirely from your records. This is helpful if you’ve sold an asset, paid off a loan, or need to correct a value.

How to Edit an Asset or Liability

To make changes to an existing asset or liability in FarmRaise Tracks:

  1. Log in to FarmRaise Tracks.

  2. Navigate to either the Assets or Liabilities section using the left-hand menu.

  3. Choose the correct category:

    • Current Assets or Liabilities

    • Intermediate Assets or Liabilities

    • Long-Term Assets or Liabilities

  4. Click on the specific asset or liability you want to edit.

  5. Make any necessary changes, such as updating the value, name, or details.

  6. After making changes, the Save button at the bottom of the page will turn green.

  7. Click the Save button to apply your changes.

Note: If the asset you are editing was linked from your inventory, the changes will also update the asset value listed in your inventory. This will affect the pricing when you pull from inventory to create invoices, so be sure the new value is accurate.

How to Delete an Asset or Liability

If you no longer want an asset or liability to appear in your records:

  1. Follow steps 1 through 4 above to find and open the asset or liability.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page, below the Save button.

  3. Click the Delete button.

  4. A confirmation message will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the record.

  5. Click the green “Cancel” button if you do not want to proceed.

  6. Click the red “Yes, I’m Sure” button to confirm deletion.

  7. After deletion, you will be automatically returned to the asset or liability list page.

Important: Once deleted, the asset or liability cannot be recovered. Only click "Yes, I’m Sure" if you're certain you want to permanently delete it.
