When you're working in FarmRaise Tracks, you might come across the "Uncategorized" category. Here’s what that means and what you need to do:
What is "Uncategorized"?
If a transaction is labeled as "Uncategorized" in the app, it simply means that the transaction hasn't been assigned a specific category yet. Think of "Uncategorized" as a temporary holding bucket where all transactions land until you review and categorize them properly.
Important: Transactions that remain in the "Uncategorized" category will not be included in your Schedule F totals. This means they won't be counted toward your farm’s reported income or expenses unless you categorize them.
How to Find Uncategorized Transactions
You can easily find and review any transactions sitting in the "Uncategorized" category:
Categories Tab: Navigate to the Categories tab to see a list of all categories, including any transactions currently marked as "Uncategorized."
Search Feature: Use the Search function in the app to filter for and locate all transactions labeled as "Uncategorized."
Reviewing and categorizing these transactions helps keep your financial records complete and ensures accurate reporting for your farm operation.
