Current Process for Adding Receipts
At this time, when you add a receipt to a transaction in FarmRaise Tracks, you must manually enter all of the associated details, including:
Vendor Name
Date
Transaction Amount
Account or Category you want the expense or income applied to
Without these key details, the receipt cannot be saved or linked to a transaction.
We recognize that manually entering this information for every receipt can be time-consuming, especially when you’re managing a high volume of farm transactions.
Potential Improvements: Auto-Scanning and Linked Account Matching
Good news! Our team is considering new features that will make managing your receipts faster and simpler:
Auto-Scanning Receipts: Soon, you may be able to upload a receipt, and FarmRaise Tracks will automatically read and extract important details like the vendor name, amount, and date. These details will be used to populate the transaction information automatically, saving you time and reducing errors.
Receipt Holding for Linked Accounts: If you have a linked bank or credit card account in FarmRaise Tracks, we may be able to store your uploaded receipts temporarily. Then, when the matching transaction from your bank feed comes into Tracks, we’ll automatically match the receipt to the transaction — no manual uploading required!
These updates are designed to help streamline your bookkeeping and make it easier for you to stay on top of your farm’s finances.
