How to Take a Screenshot on a Moto G

Method 1: Using the Power and Volume Down Buttons

  1. Locate the Buttons

    • Identify the Power button on the right side of your Moto G phone.

    • Identify the Volume Down button just below the Power button.

  2. Press the Buttons Simultaneously

    • Quickly press and release the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time.

    • The screen will flash, and you may hear a camera shutter sound if your sound is enabled.

  3. View and Edit the Screenshot

    • A toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to edit, share, or delete the screenshot.

    • If you do nothing, the screenshot will be saved to your Photos app or Gallery.

Method 2: Using Three-Finger Screenshot (if enabled)

  1. Enable Three-Finger Screenshot

    • Go to Settings > Display > Advanced > Three-finger screenshot.

    • Toggle the switch to enable this feature.

  2. Take a Screenshot with Three Fingers

    • Place three fingers on the screen simultaneously.

    • The screen will flash, and you may hear a camera shutter sound if your sound is enabled.

  3. View and Edit the Screenshot

    • A toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to edit, share, or delete the screenshot.

    • If you do nothing, the screenshot will be saved to your Photos app or Gallery.

Method 3: Using Google Assistant

  1. Activate Google Assistant

    • Say "Hey Google" or "OK Google," or press and hold the Home button.

  2. Ask Google Assistant to Take a Screenshot

    • Say, "Take a screenshot."

    • The screen will flash, and you may hear a camera shutter sound if your sound is enabled.

  3. View and Edit the Screenshot

    • A toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to edit, share, or delete the screenshot.

    • If you do nothing, the screenshot will be saved to your Photos app or Gallery.
