When setting up payroll for your farm, one of the most important decisions is how you want to pay your workers—and how quickly that payment gets processed. At FarmRaise, we offer direct deposit and other options like printing physical checks, but most of our customers prefer the ease and reliability of direct deposit.

Standard Direct Deposit Lead Time: 4 Business Days

By default, direct deposit with FarmRaise takes 4 business days to process. This means you need to approve and fund your payroll at least four business days before your employees' payday. This timeline helps ensure all the required funds are in place to cover employee wages and withholdings.

This 4-day lead time applies to:

  • New payroll customers

  • Customers without a 3-month payroll track record

  • Customers who have not submitted financial verification

We know that farming can move fast, and sometimes you need more flexible payment timing. That’s why we offer a 2-day direct deposit option for customers who demonstrate financial reliability.

You can qualify for 2-day direct deposit in two ways:

Option 1: Build a Track Record

  • Run payroll with FarmRaise for at least 3 months

  • Maintain a consistent account balance that can fully cover your payroll

  • Avoid returned payments or funding issues

If your account has a strong track record, you can request a 2-day lead time, and we will review your eligibility for expedited processing.

Option 2: Submit Bank Statements

  • Share 3 months of business bank statements showing you have the cash flow to cover payroll

  • This can speed up the approval process even if you're new to FarmRaise Payroll
