How to Add a Shortcut to FarmRaise Tracks on Your Desktop (Windows & Mac)

Add a FarmRaise Tracks shortcut to your desktop

For quick and easy access to FarmRaise Tracks, you can add a desktop shortcut on your Windows or Mac computer. Follow the steps below to set up a shortcut using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.


📌 For Windows Users

Using Google Chrome:

  1. Open FarmRaise Tracks

  2. Create the Shortcut

    • Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the upper-right corner.

    • Hover over More tools and select Create shortcut.

  3. Name and Confirm

    • A pop-up will appear. Name the shortcut FarmRaise Tracks.

    • Check the box for Open as window (optional, for a more app-like experience).

    • Click Create.

  4. Locate the Shortcut

    • The shortcut will appear on your desktop. You can also find it in your Start menu.

Using Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open FarmRaise Tracks

  2. Install the App as a Shortcut

    • Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the upper-right corner.

    • Select Apps > Install this site as an app.

  3. Confirm Installation

    • A pop-up will appear. Name it FarmRaise Tracks.

    • Click Install.

  4. Find the Shortcut

    • The shortcut will be added to your desktop and Start menu.

🍏 For Mac Users

Using Google Chrome or Safari:

  1. Open Safari and Navigate to FarmRaise Tracks

  2. Create a Web Shortcut

    • Click the URL bar and drag the address to your desktop.

  3. Add to Dock (Optional)

    • Drag the shortcut from your desktop to the Dock for easy access.

How to Change the Icon for Your FarmRaise Tracks Desktop Shortcut

After adding a desktop shortcut for FarmRaise Tracks, you may want to customize the icon for better visibility. Follow these step-by-step instructions to change the shortcut image on Windows and Mac.

For Windows Users

Changing the Shortcut Icon:

  1. Locate the FarmRaise Tracks Shortcut

    • Find the FarmRaise Tracks shortcut on your desktop.

  2. Open Shortcut Properties

    • Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.

  3. Change the Icon

    • In the Shortcut tab, click Change Icon.

  4. Select a New Icon

    • Windows will show built-in icons. To use a custom icon:

      • Click Browse.

      • Locate an .ICO file (Windows uses .ICO format for icons).

      • Select your desired icon and click Open.

  5. Apply and Save Changes

    • Click OK, then Apply, and OK again.

If you don’t have an .ICO file, you can convert a PNG or JPG to .ICO using free online converters.

For Mac Users

Changing the Shortcut Icon:

  1. Find or Download a New Icon

    • The icon must be in .ICNS, .PNG, or .JPG format.

    • If the image is not in .ICNS format, you can convert it using a free online tool.

  2. Open the Image in Preview

    • Locate the new icon file.

    • Double-click to open it in Preview.

    • Press Command (⌘) + A to select the image.

    • Press Command (⌘) + C to copy it.

  3. Open Shortcut Info Panel

    • Locate the FarmRaise Tracks shortcut.

    • Right-click the shortcut and select Get Info.

  4. Paste the New Icon

    • In the Get Info window, click the small icon at the top left.

    • Press Command (⌘) + V to paste the new image.

  5. Close the Window

    • The shortcut icon should now be updated!
