This guide will walk you through how to add a new worker to FarmRaise Payroll and how to input their information yourself. We know you’ve got enough on your plate, so let’s keep this simple!

Steps to Add a New Worker:

  1. Log in to FarmRaise Payroll.

  2. Navigate to the Payroll Tab:

    • At the top of the page, click on Payroll.

    • From the dropdown, select Edit Worker Info.

  3. Add a New Worker:

    • You’ll see a list of your existing workers.

    • Click Add New Worker.

  4. Enter Basic Worker Information:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Optional: Middle Name

    • Optional: Nickname (this will appear as their display name)

  5. Provide the Worker’s Email:

    • If you prefer to have the worker fill out their own information, enter their email, and send them an invitation.

  6. Choose Worker Classification:

    • Select whether the worker is an Employee or a Contractor.

  7. Invite the Employee or Do It Yourself:

    • You can either invite the worker to fill out their details or choose to Do It Myself.

Worker Information You’ll Need to Fill Out:

  1. Personal Details:

    • Date of Birth

    • Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) (if a contractor)

  2. Address:

    • This is where their tax documents (such as 1099) will be mailed at year-end, so make sure it’s accurate.

  3. Filing Status:

    • Determine if they are filing as an individual or a business (for contractors).

  4. Withholding Information:

    • Enter the number of dependents (if applicable).

  5. Payment Information:

    • Bank Account Number and Routing Number (for direct deposits).

  6. Hire Date:

    • Enter the date the worker started or will start working.

  7. Pay Type:

    • Choose whether they will be salaried or hourly.

    • If salaried, enter their set salary. If hourly, enter their wage.

  8. Payment Method:

    • Choose whether the worker will be paid by direct deposit or by check.

    • If they are being paid by direct deposit, you will need their routing number and bank account number.

What If My Worker Didn't Receive the Email?

If your employee doesn’t receive the email, you can:

  • Contact FarmRaise Support to resend the email.

  • Fill out the information for them manually using the steps outlined above.

Final Steps:

  1. After entering all the required information, click Next.

  2. Review all the details to make sure everything is correct.

  3. Once you’re satisfied, click Done to save the new worker’s information.
