New businesses can register online.
Employment Commission Account Number
Successful completion of the registration process with the Department of Taxation will automatically generate your Employment Commission Account Number for state unemployment taxes.
How to locate these numbers if you’re already registered:
Your Taxation Account Number will be on any previously filed state tax returns, or you can log into your online account. If you have any questions, please call (804) 367-8037.
Your Employment Commission Account Number will be online, or on any previously filed quarterly reports. If you have any questions, please call (804) 786-1082.
Your Employer Tax Rate will be on the Tax Rate Notice sent each December.
